<br />LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY BOARD <br /> <br />June 20, 1983 <br /> <br />(corrected minutes) <br /> <br />PRESENT: Susan Gilliland, Cary Burnley, Travis Doughty, Al Fields, <br />Jerry Hodge, Director of Public Works <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Susan Gilliland at 6:10 P.M. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Susan Gilliland and seconded by Al Fields to approve <br />the minutes of the May 16, 1983 meeting as presented. The motion was carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Turner Collie & Braden presented an updated report on the feasibility study <br />and estimated costs for the Water Treatment Facility, with various alternatives <br />being discussed. <br /> <br />The Board requested Jack Owen contact the City of Deer Park regarding their <br />interest in buying treated water from La Porte. <br /> <br />The Board gave Turner Collie & Braden the authority to contact the management <br />of Shell Oil regarding the cost of the water treatment plant. <br /> <br />With no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Cary Burnley and <br />seconded by Travis Doughty to adjourn at 1:15 P.M. The vote carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
