<br />MINUTES <br />LA PORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY <br /> <br />February 11, 1985 <br /> <br />1. The meeting was called to order by President Jerry Bramlett at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members of the Board Present: President Jerry Bramlett, Vice President Al Fields, <br />Secretary Rick Matthews and Board Member Cary Burnley. <br /> <br />Members of the Board Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Others Present: Director of <br />Works Luther Maxey, Assistant <br />Collie & Braden, Inc. <br /> <br />Public Works Jerry Hodge, Assistant Director of Public <br />City Attorney John Armstrong, Neil Bishop of Turner <br /> <br />2. The Authority considered approving the minutes of the January 28, 1985 meeting. <br /> <br />Upon discussion it was agreed to change the word "appointing" to "elected". Motion <br />was made by Cary Burnley to approve the minutes of January 28, 1985 with the above- <br />stated correction. Second by Al Fields. The motion carried, all ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />3. The Authority considered approving the minutes of the November 26, 1985 meeting. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Cary Burnley to approve the minutes as presented. Second by Rick <br />Matthews. The motion carried, all ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />4. Mr. Neil Bishop presented the AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES to the Authority. <br />A brief discussion was held and it was decided to have a special called meeting in <br />order to give the surrounding cities time for an affirmative response. <br /> <br />Jerry Hodge stated the letters to these surrounding cities would be hand delivered the <br />following day. The letter asked for a response by February 19, 1985. <br /> <br />It was decided that the special called meeting would be on Thursday, February 21, 1985. <br />at 5:30 P.M. at the Public Works Service Center. Motion was made by Cary Burnley, <br />seconded by Rick Matthews with motion being carried, all ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />5. Turner Collie & Braden is to attempt to make contact and discuss with Big Three their <br />water treatment plant, the sale and purchase of water. <br /> <br />6.
