<br />LA FORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY <br />MINUTES <br />September 19, 1995 <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 6:38 pm by Vice President <br />Rodney Etchberger. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Vice President Rodney Etchberger, Secretary <br />Albert Fields and Member James Sweeton. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: President Jerry Bramlett. <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Assistant City Manager John Joerns, Director <br />of Public Works Steve Gillett, and Carol Butler. <br />2. The minutes from the regular meeting held August 1, 1995 were <br />read. Motion by James Sweeton, seconded by Albert Fields, to <br />accept the minutes as read. Motion was unanimous. <br />3. The Oath of Office was administered to Albert Fields by Vice <br />President Rodney Etchberger. <br />4. Motion by Albert Fields, seconded by James Sweeton to approve <br />payment of "catch-up" through June 30, 1995, to the City of <br />Houston in the amount of $26,530.86. Motion was unanimous. <br />5. Assistant City Manager John Joerns reported that the City of <br />Houston has scheduled a construction audit for the final <br />completion of the Southeast Water Purification Plant. The Co- <br />participants are forming an "executive committee" of co- <br />participants to meet with the City of Houston on a regular <br />basis to discuss operations and management of the Plant. <br />Finally, Joerns reported that the City of Bellaire, which has <br />not converted to surface water, has begun purchasing water <br />conservation credits from the Subsidence District to continue <br />pumping groundwater. <br />6. There being no further business, motion made by James Sweeton, <br />seconded by Albert Fields to adjourn.
