F • <br />'~ <br />LA FORTE AREA WATER AUTHORITY <br />MINUTES <br />January 23, 1996 <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 6:33 pm by President Jerry <br />Bramlett. <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: President Jerry Bramlett, Vice President <br />Rodney Etchberger, Secretary Albert Fields and Member James <br />Sweeton. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: None. <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Member-elect George Robert Roy, City Manager <br />Robert T. Herrera, Assistant City Manager Jeff Litchfield, <br />Director of Public Works Steve Gillett, Carol Butler and Chris <br />Breaux of Null & Associates. <br />2. The minutes from the regular meeting held September 19, 1995 <br />were read. Motion by Albert Fields, seconded by Rodney <br />Etchberger, to accept the minutes as read. Motion was <br />unanimous. (President Bramlett abstained). <br />3. The Oath of Office was administered to George Robert Roy by <br />President Jerry Bramlett. <br />4. Motion by Rodney Etchberger, seconded by James Sweeton to <br />approve payment of "catch-up" through September 30, 1995, to <br />the City of Houston in the amount of $149,179.35. Motion was <br />unanimous. <br />5. General Manager Herrera introduced Chris Breaux of Null & <br />Associates, who discussed the audit conducted by his firm. He <br />stated that the financial statements of the Authority <br />accurately depicted the condition of the Authority and were in <br />conformance with generally accepted accounting principles. <br />Jeff Litchfield, Director of Finance, reviewed the Annual <br />Financial Report, and answered questions from the Board <br />regarding those statements. <br />Motion was made by James Sweeton, seconded by Rob Roy, to <br />approve the La Porte Area Water Authority Annual Financial <br />Report for Fiscal Year Ending September 30, 1995. Motion was <br />unanimous. <br />6. General Manager Robert T. Herrera reported that the next <br />scheduled meeting would be in April. He suggested that the <br />Board consider an all-day meeting to discuss several upcoming <br />issues for the Authority, including the future expansion of <br />the Southeast Water Purification Plant. <br />
