<br />MINUTES OF THE LA PORTE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION <br />July 11, 2005 <br /> <br />1. Call to Order <br /> <br />President Pat Muston called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: Pat Muston, Bill Love, Tommy Moser, Chuck Engelken, Mike <br />Clausen and Deborah Johnson <br /> <br />Members Absent: Ed Matuszak and Peter Griffiths. <br /> <br />Staff Present: City Secretary Martha Gillett, Assistant City Manager John Joerns, <br />Assistant Finance Director Michael Dolby, Assistant City Manager John Joerns and <br />City Manager Debra Feazelle <br /> <br />Others Present: Gina Manlove, Quality of Life Task Force Committee Chairman <br /> <br />2. Motion was made by Chuck Engelken to aPlJrove the Minutes of March 28.2005 . <br />Second by Bill Love. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Ayes: Pat Muston, Bill Love, Deborah Johnson, Tommy Moser, Chuck Engelken and <br />Mike Clausen <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />3. Receive Report from Alliance on Quality of Life Task Force -Project Stars- <br /> <br />Alliance Representative-Quality of Life Task Force Committee Chairman Gina <br />Manlove provided the Board with report from Alliance on Quality of Life Task Force - <br />Project Stars. In addition, she provided the members handouts. <br /> <br />The committee noted they want to know at a future meeting whether or not 4b could <br />expend funds on Project Stars. <br /> <br />4. Receive current financial report/sales tax analysis. <br /> <br />Assistant Finance Director Michael Dolby provided the board with an overview of the <br />financial report and sales tax analysis. <br /> <br />5. Receive Report on Health Care Meeting Update <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns provided the Board with report on Health Care <br />Meeting Update <br /> <br />He informed that Harris County is still considering La Porte for a potential location of a <br />medical facility. Bayshore Medical Center is making a presence in La Porte and <br />considering a facility similar to the one located on Fairmont Parkway and Jana in La <br />Porte. <br /> <br />6.
