<br />.~,,- <br /> <br />THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD MET THIS THE 11 th DAY OF JUNE, 2007, <br />3:30PM AT CITY HALL, CONFERENCE ROOM A, 604 W. FAIRMONT PARKWAY, LA <br />PORTE, TEXAS, WITH THE FOLLOWING PRESENT: <br /> <br />MICHAEL YN DUNAWAY <br />BILL MANNING, JR. <br />JERRY CARPENTER <br /> <br />VICKI CAMPISIE <br />ED MATUSZAK <br /> <br />STAFF: Debra Dye, Debbie Wilmore, Christina Varsos <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 3:30pm. <br /> <br />2. MAIN STREET COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Michaelyn gave an update as to the progress made by the subcommittee appointed by the board <br />and handed out the draft version of building usage to consider. <br /> <br />Tommy Moser recommended the board have a Community Meeting before the building usage <br />was taken to P & Z. Plans were made for board members to email any thoughts or concerns they <br />may have on the draft version to Debra Dye by Monday, June 18, 5:00pm for the subcommittee <br />to review and try to implement into the building usage plan. The public workshop date was <br />tentatively set for June 2ih at 5:30pm in old City Hall and go before P & Z on July 19. <br /> <br />This years Fall Back Festival will be held on September 21-23. The Friday and Saturday <br />festivities will be held downtown, and ball room dancing will be held at Sylvan Beach Pavilion <br />on Sunday. <br /> <br />The city budget process was discussed briefly and is in the development stage. A new budget <br />will be in place by the end of September. <br /> <br />The board would like to pursue researching firms for us to consider in performing a downtown <br />master plan and branding. <br /> <br />Efforts are being made to develop a training workshop for the Main Street Advisory Board in <br />Brenham, Texas. <br /> <br />The Main Street Association has been working on a web site. The board discussed that will <br />enable us to hold off on our web site development for a little while as we take care of more <br />pressmg Issues. <br /> <br />The board discussed establishing a store registry to log in visitors and customers to aid in <br />determining where the best locations are for advertising, etc. The details will be taken care of at <br />committee level <br />
