RIGBY <br />Mayor <br />BILL BENTLEY <br />Councilperson District 3 <br />The New City Hall Ad Hoc Committee of the City of La Porte met on Thursday, October 17, <br />2023, at the La Porte Police Department Training Room, located at 3001 N. 23rd Street, La <br />Porte, Texas 77571, at 3:00 p.m. to consider the following items of business: <br />Committee Members present: Louis Rigby, Bill Bentley, Brent McCaulley <br />Committee Members attending remotely: None <br />ommittee Members absent: None <br />Council -appointed officers present: Matt Daeumer, Assistant City Manager; Sharon Harris, <br />Deputy City Secretary <br />CALL TO ORDER — Chair McCaulley called the meetinq to order at 3.02 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person, in accordance with state <br />law, the time maybe reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />There were no citizen comments. <br />3. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />July 13, 2023, meeting. [Councilperson McCaulley] <br />Member Bentley moved to approve the minutes of the July 13, 2023, meeting- the motion <br />was seconded by Member Rigby; the motion was adopted, 3-0. <br />b. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to provide feedback to BRW regarding <br />the preliminary design/plans for the new City Hall. [Matt Daeumer, Assistant City <br />Manager] <br />BRW provided an update on the design/plans for the new City Hall and discussed <br />additional parking spaces added, relocation of the time capsule at the new City Hall, <br />secured access throughout the building and options for entry to the plaza. <br />4.
