Beverly, J. C. Hebert, Wm. R. Shedelbower. <br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ABSENT: Eugene Ybarra. <br />OTHERS PRESENT: Joint meeting of the City Commission and <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />PRESIDING: J. J. Meza, Mayor. <br />+ + + <br />1. CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Mayor <br />J. J. Meza at 7:00 P.M. <br />+ + + <br />2. DISCUSS GENERAL LOCATION FOR NEW CITY HALL - Charles <br />Christensen suggested the Main Street area, as a way <br />of renovating Main Street. <br />Knox Askins, City Attorney, recommends no less than <br />1-2 blocks, in order to have room for future expansion. <br />Property should be acessible with good streets in the <br />approximate geometric center of the City. <br /> <br />Johnny Busch of Busch, Hutchison, Consultin Engineers, <br />suggested it may be possible to get Federal funds for <br />an urban redevelopment program. This program would also <br />take a longer period of time. <br /> <br />
