CALL TO ORDER. <br />Meeting was called to order by Chairman Waters at 6:00 PM. <br />II. APPROVE MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 16,1997, PUBLIC HEARING <br />AND REGULAR MEETING. <br />A motion was made by Howard Ebow to approve the Minutes of January 16, 1997. <br />The motion was seconded by Chuck Engelken. All were in favor and the motion <br />passed with Dottie Kaminski abstaining. <br />III. ADMINISTER OATH OF OFFICE TO NEWLY APPPOINTED <br />MEMBER, JAMES ZOLLER. <br />The Assistant City Attorney administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Zoller. <br />N. OPEN PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER ZONE CHANGE REQUEST <br />#R97-001, WHICH HAS BEEN REQUESTED FOR THE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 1701 S. BROADWAY (OLD HIGHWAY 146). THE <br />APPLICANT IS SEEKING A ZONE CHANGE FROM HIGH-DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL (R-3) TO NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL (N.C.). <br />Chairman Waters opened the Public Hearing at 6:04 PM. <br />Mr. Rankin presented staff's report for #R97-001. He reported the property <br />owner/applicant, Ben Ritchie, requested a zone change for the property located at <br />1701 S. Broadway (Old Highway 146). l~Ir. Rankin noted that in Mr. Ritchie's initial <br />application with the City, he requested a zone change from High Density Residential <br />(R-3) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC). Since that time, the applicant has decided <br />he would like the property zoned General Commercial (GC) instead of NC.
