A PUBLIC HEARING AND REGULAR MEETING OF THE LA PORTE PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION WILL BE HELD APRIL 29, 1993, AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE
COUNCILCHAMBERS OFTHE LA PORTECITY HALL, 604 W. FAIRMONTPARKWAY,
LA PORTE, TEXAS.
1. CALL TO ORDER
II. APPROVE MINUTES OF THE MARCH 18, 1993 PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING AND REGULAR MEETING.
III. CALL PUBLIC HEARING TO ORDER. THE PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC
HEARING IS TO CONSIDER AMENDMENTSTO THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS
OF ZONING ORDINANCE 1501.
A. SECTION 3-100: NEW DEFINITION OF PORTABLE SIGN
B. SECTION 6-400, COMMERCIALTABLE A: M I N I W A R E H O U S E
STORAGE (SIC 4225) AS A CONDITIONAL USE IN GENERAL
COMMERCIALZONES.
C. SECTION 10-1000, SIGN REGULATIONS: REPLACE THE EXISTING
SECTION 10-1000 WITH A NEW SECTION 10-1000 WHICH WILL
REGULATE PORTABLE SIGNS, POLITICAL SIGNS, FREESTANDING
AND ATTACHEDON PREMISE SIGNS, OFF PREMISE SIGNS AND REAL
ESTATE SIGNS.
IV. CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING
V. CONSIDER RECOMMENDATION TO CITY COUNCIL REGARDING
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED FOR ZONING ORDINANCE 1501.
VI. CONSIDER GENERAL PLAN APPROVAL FOR THE BAYOU FOREST
SUBDIVISION WHICH IS TO BE A 309 LOTSUBDIVISION FOR SINGLE FAMILY
HOMES. THE PROPOSED SUBDIVISION IS TO BE DEVELOPED ON A 100.43
ACRE TRACTWHICH IS LOCATEDATTHE SOUTHEASTERNCORNER OF THE
MCCABE ROAD, HIGHWAY,146 INTERSECTION. THE PROPERTYZONING IS
PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD).
