PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ASSOCIATED ORDINANCES (a) The City Council will hold a public hearing to receive comments regarding a recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny passage of Ordinance 2023-3921 amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, Chapter 106 "Zoning" by removing W. D St. from the High Frequency Truck Route (HFTR); followed by discussion and possible action to consider adoption or rejection of Ordinance 2023-3921 amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, Chapter 106 "Zoning" by removing W. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public input on proposed modifications to Chapter 106 (Zoning) of the City of La Porte's Code of Ordinances the removal of W. D St. from the High Frequency Truck Route (HFTR). Following the public hearing, the City Council will act upon the public hearing item and conduct other matters pertaining to the Council. Citizens wishing to address the Council pro or con during the public hearing are asked to sign in before the meeting is convened. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, The City of La Porte will provide for reasonable accommodations for persons attending public meetings.
