Hunter Survey, Abstract Number 35, Harris County, Texas, and authorize the execution and delivery of a deed to adjoining landowner. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ASSOCIATED ORDINANCES (a) The City Council will hold a public hearing to receive comments regarding a recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny passage of Ordinance 2023-3921 amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, Chapter 106 "Zoning" by removing W. D St. from the High Frequency Truck Route (HFTR); followed by discussion and possible action to consider adoption or rejection of Ordinance 2023-3921 amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, Chapter 106 "Zoning" by removing W. D St. from the High Frequency Truck Route (HFTR). [Teresa Evans, Planning and Development Director] (b) The City Council will hold a public hearing to receive comments regarding a recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission to adopt Ordinance 2023-3922 amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, Chapter 106 "Zoning" by amending regulations related to notification requirements for public hearings held before the La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission and La Porte Zoning Board of Adjustment; followed by discussion and possible action to consider adopting Ordinance 2023-3922 amending the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte, Chapter 106 "Zoning" by amending regulations related to notification requirements for public hearings held before the La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission and La Porte Zoning Board of Adjustment. COUNCIL COMMENT Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda; items of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or existing policy from the Mayor, Councilpersons, and City staff, for which no formal action will be discussed or taken. 11. EXECUTIVE SESSION (a) City Council will meet in closed session pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.072 - Deliberation regarding purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property: Meet with City Manager and Assistant City Attorney to discuss potential purchase of real property located in the City of La Porte. 12. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public input on proposed modifications to Chapter 106 (Zoning) of the City of La Porte's Code of Ordinances the removal of W. D St. from the High Frequency Truck Route (HFTR). Following the public hearing, the City Council will act upon the public hearing item and conduct other matters pertaining to the Council. Citizens wishing to address the Council pro or con during the public hearing are asked to sign in before the meeting is convened. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, The City of La Porte will provide for reasonable accommodations for persons attending public meetings.
