A copy of the Repealing Ordinance is enclosed. Due to the Council's action, I hereby resign as Chairman and Member of the Joint Airport Zoning Commission effective May 21, 1979• This letter is to be conveyed to the Joint Commission Members at the May 22, 1979, Public Hearing. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOMAX THAT: Section 1. An ordinance creating a joint airport zoning board known as the La Porte-Deer Park-Lomax Joint Airport Zoning Board with powers such boards are authorized to exercise under the provisions of Article 46(e)1, etc., Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, recorded as Ordinance No. 167 passed on the 14th day of August, 1978, be and the same is hereby repealed and the members appointed'by the City to the said La Porte-Deer Park-Lomax Joint Airport Zoning Board are hereby removed. Section 2. There exists a public emergency requiring that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and the mayor having in writing declared the existence of such emergency and requested such passage, this ordinance shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction, this 18th day of May, 1979, and shall take effect immediately upon.its passage and approval.
