Minutes of February 26, 2008
Members Present: Tom Campbell, Ron Holt, Ken Schlather, Bruce Compton, Terry Bunch

1. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 6:01 P.M. by Chairman Tom Campbell.
2. ADMINISTER OATHS OF OFFICE TO RE-APPOINTED BOARD MEMBERS
TERRY BUNCH (pOSmON 2) AND BRUCE COMPTON (pOSmON 7)
Sherry Jennings administered oaths to Terry Bunch and Bruce Compton.
3. CONSIDER APPROVING MINUTES FROM THE NOVEMBER 15, 2007 MEETING
Motion to approve the November 15,2007 minutes, as submitted, was made by Bruce
Compton. Second by Ken Schlather. Motion passed unanimously.
4. REVIEW, DISCUSS AND CONSIDER RECOMMENDATION ON'STAFF_
COMMENTS FOR ADOPTION OF 2008 EDffiON OF NATIONAL ELECTRICAL
CODE WITH LOCAL AMENDMENTS
Following the Board's discussion, Mr. Compton recommended forwarding the code to
City Council with a motion to adopt the 2008 Edition of the National Electrical Code
while leaving existing local amendments in place. Second by Ron Holt. Motion passed
unanimously.
5. ESTABLISH NEXT MEETING DATE, TIME AND TOPICS
Terry Bunch made a motion to hold the next meeting on March 27,2008 at 6 p.m. with
the following agenda item: review and discuss the 2008 National Electrical Code (NEC).
Second by John Elfstrom. Motion passed unanimously_

6. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS
Debbie Wilmore advised the Board of an upcoming three-day plan review class that will
be held in Pasadena, Texas. Class qualifies for continuing education hours and flyers are
available at our counter for anyone they know who may want to attend.
7. BOARD COMMENTS
The Board felt it would be beneficial for Paul Larson to attend the class on the Board's
behalf Mr. Campbell asked Ms. Wilmore to check on use of city funds to cover the cost
of the class.
8. ADJOURN
A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Elfstrom with a second by Mr. Bunch. Motion
passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
