Chapter 172 Emplovee Retiree Insurance and Benefits Board MeetinQ Minutes
Notice is hereby given of a regular meeting of the Chapter 172 Employee Retiree Insurance and
Benefits Board to be held on July 1, 2010 at 5:30 PM, at the Police Department Training Room,
3001 N. 23rd St., La Porte, Texas, regarding the items according to the agenda below:
1. Call to Order
The Meeting was called to order 5:33
2. Consider approval of minutes from June 1, 2010 meeting
Martha made a motion to approve the minutes as presented, Matt seconded. Motion passed.
3. Receive report from Willis on medical claims history
Lesley Hagen from Willis presented claims reports for 2008-2009 to the committee.
4. Discuss the extension of coverage for dependents on the City's medical plan
Heather Weger informed the Committee that the extension of coverage would only affect 5-6
people. With that information, the Committee recommended extending the coverage for
dependents to age 26 effective July 1,2010.
5. Discuss Medical Costs for 2011
Michael Dolby presented the committee with the Employee Health Services budget. The
committee was asked to take a look at the financial position of the Employee Health Services
account and make a recommendation as to how to fund the Medical Premiums for
employees. The Committee asked that they be able to look over the information and meet
again to discuss further.
6. Administrative Reports
The meeting was adjourned at 6:53.

There may be a possible quorum of City council present at this meeting and may
participate in discussion at this meeting, however, they will not vote on matters.
