Chapter 172 Employee Retiree Insurance and Benefits Board Meeting
Minutes for the Meeting held on August 15, 2011 at 5:30 pm
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 5:35 pm by Heather Weger
Members Present: Heather Weger, Matt Daeumer, Clark Askins, Martha Gillett, Juliane Graham, Steve
Valerius, Aaron Corrales
Members Absent: None
2. Consider approval of minutes from May 10, 2011 meeting
Matt made a motion to approve the minutes as presented, Martha seconded the motion, the motion
passed
3. Consider approval of minutes from July 18, 2011 meeting
Clark made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, Matt seconded the motion, the motion
passed.
4. Receive Claims report from McGriff, Seibels and Williams
Received claims report from Lance Pendley and Steve Austin with McGriff, Seibels and Williams
5. Discussion or other action for 2011 -2012 Employee Medical Benefits
The Committee discussed different option to offset the cost to the City and requested additional
information from McGriff, Seibels and Williams prior to making a decision.
6. Administrative Reports
Heather notified the board of George Van Dyke's resignation
7. Board Comments — Matters appearing on the agenda; Recognition of community members, city
employees, and upcoming events; Inquiry of staff regarding specific factual information or existing
policy
There were not any board comments to note.
8. Adjournment
There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 7:03 pm
