Chapter 172 Employee Retiree Insurance and Benefits Board
Held on November 22, 2013
1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 am by Allison Curry
2. Member Roll Call
Present: Allison Curry, Martha Gillett, Aaron Corrales, Michael Dolby, Clark Askins, Robert Eldridge
Absent: Juliane Graham, Matt Daeumer, Charles Montgomery
3. Consider approval of minutes from June 25, 2013 meeting
Clark made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, Martha seconded the motion; the motion
passed
4. Legislative Changes to plan due to PPACA-McGriff, Seibels and Williams
Lance Pendley and Steve Austin presented Legislative Changes for the committees' consideration to
make plan changes. These are the proposed changes.
PPO500 Invoked Safe Harbor for 2014 and Authorized AETNA to make changes for 2015 to have
deductibles, co pays and RX co pays to count toward out of pocket max.
HF1000 No Changes
HR1500 Authorized AETNA to change out of pocket max for Family from $13,500 to $12,700
allowable under PPACA, Lower Individual OPM from $4,500 to $4,200
Michael made a motion to accept the plan changes, Clark seconded the motion; the motion passed
5. Administrative Reports
None
6. Board Comments
Michael talked about how the plan was doing vs. last year, and preliminary numbers were on track to
be better. Clark noted we needed the plan changes put on the December 9, 2013 Council agenda to
approve.
7. Adjournment
There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 9:48 am by Allison Curry
