existed that the rules be suspended and that the Ordinance qe passed
to it • s ~~tliru ;wna final reading. A roll call resulted in the folloti~ing
ballot. Adld. ::all , yea. Ald. Kufr Yei. r~1d. 5andel Yea. Ald , Sharp yea.
and Ald. Tolle yea. The Iiayor declared the vote unanir:lous and the
orai:,anve opted.
There were three bids presented for the grading of A st. from 2nd.s,~.
to ord. as follows. worki~.an and ~:rthur 45 cents per C Y. k'+'orris Bros.
57 cents per C Y aald Vic?~srs and ~ro~7:~ix:g o0 vents per C Y.
Alderman ":.`x.11 made a, motion seconded by Alderr:.an Saxtdel that the
contract ~e let to ~Tieisers and ~3roaxning.
Carried.
Alderman Sandal offered a motion seconded by Alderman r.uir that txie
~ecreta,ry bo instructed to investigwt® contract with Gayle Bros. as
to r~~.Qther or not the co::traitor coixld ue held to ~ pay expense of
city inspector on the construction of thc~ water lines. .
