Wall that the council ratify the following appointments made by the Mayors to serve as committ®amen during the succeeding year. Street and Bridges. Finance. 'Water Dept . Fire Dept. Sewer Police Street Lighting Fire Chief Fire Marshal until appointment is made. Defered, Counts to hold Alderman Ruff offered a motion seconded by Ald. Wall that Street Lighting Committee meet with the officials of the Houston Lighting and Power Co. and the Sou. w. Bell Telephone Co. in an effort to get a reduction in rate8• Carried. Alderman Ruff offered a motion seconded by Ald Counts that the Street and Bridges Committee investigate a proposal from A H Norris for the purchaca of a street maintainer. Carried.
