Aldeman Sharp offered a motion seconded by Ald. Wall that
the council ratify the following appointments made by the
Mayors to serve as committ®amen during the succeeding year.
Street and Bridges.

Police
Street Lighting
Fire Chief
Fire Marshal
until appointment is made.

Alderman Ruff offered a motion seconded by Ald. Wall
that Street Lighting Committee meet with the officials
of the Houston Lighting and Power Co. and the Sou. w.
Bell Telephone Co. in an effort to get a reduction in
rate8•

Alderman Ruff offered a motion seconded by Ald Counts
that the Street and Bridges Committee investigate a
proposal from A H Norris for the purchaca of a street
maintainer.

Alderman Ruff offered a motion, seconded b y Ald. Wall
the the question of extensive sewer laterals future
connections to same and reimbursement to party laying
lateral be refered to Sewer Committee.

Alderman Wall offered a motion, seconded by Ald Counts
• that the Secy. be instructed to have the debria~ moved
from the property along San Jacinto street from Five
Points to the Park.

their discretion.
