There ing a unanimous vote in favor of the adoption of t ordinance the Mayor declared Ordinance #243 in full orce and effect. Ald. Ruff offered a motion seconded by Ald. Sharp that sec. 26 of the Plumbing Ordinance # 238 which specifies that "Grease Traps must be 18" X 30" X 20" deep" be amended by interlisation to read "or 3t~s equivalent in surface area". Carried Motion was made by Ald. Counts and seconded by Ald. Sharp that if the original plans were to bring the sewer main through the center of block 182 running north and south that J Hall Sheppard be given the advantage of the diference: if any, of the excess over forty feet betvreen the distance from the main on 8th st. to his propertg line and the center of the block where the main was originally planned to run, to his sewer connection. Carried . Ald. Ruff made a motion seconded by Ald. Wall that. the secretary be autnorizad to have his typewriter cleaned and S repaired. Carried . A1d. Fall made a motion seconded by Ald. Ruff that the secretary b® instructed to ask for bidd for shelling 150 ft. on Sou. Seventh no. from Sou. B st. The shelled surface to be 12 ft. in width, 8" deep in center and 6" deep on edges; (Over) Carried. (Page Two) NEVY BUSYNESS CONT . A motion was presented by Ald. ~~all and seconded by Ald. Ruff that the secretary be instructed to issue a requisition for two open panels for the fire doors where pan®ls are rotting. The cost to be ~p19 00 F 0 B Houston. Carried. A Resolution governing the size of openings under foot bridges and culverts across street ditches was adopted unanimously on a motion by Ald. Wall which was seconded by A1d,Ruff . ADOPTID THIS THE TENTH DAY OF • ., A RL'SOLUTION It having been brought to the attention of the City Council that many foot bridges and culverts across street ditches are inadequate to take care of the water in the ditches thereby creating a hazard to the proper drainage; therefore; . Be it resolved; that effective immediately upon the adoption of this resolution that all culverts and foot bridges over street ditches shall be constructed to give adequate drainage in all cases, and that no culvert or foot bridge shall be constructed without first obtaining a permit from the City Secretary to be approved by~the.Street and Alley Co~nittee, and all such culverts and foot bridges heretofore constructed shall be repaired or reconstructed to comply with the requirements of the Street and Alley Committee. _ _ A motion was made by H.
