Meeting was called to order by Mayor A N Mc Ray. The
following members of the council were present.
Alderman I~tff, Geo. Counts, and Lawrence.
Mirna.tes of the previous meeting ~er® read and approved.
Alderman Miff made a motion seconded by Ald. lawronce
that the city employ two deput marshals to keep order
Halloween Night.
Carried.
Ald. Counts offered a motioh seconded by Ald. --
that th a city seeretray investigate the legality
oII deeding withrnlt ~ vote of the people, alleys and
streets, and if 4'aarid ~o be legal that the Mayor
and secretary be au~horized to execute a deed to the
La Porte Ind. School Dist. for certain parts of alleys
and streets, the deed to provide that the property so
deeded revert to the city if or when said proper ,was
abandoned for School use.
Carried.
Alderman Ruff offered a motion seconded by Aid, Counts
that the city accept ~1 00 cash and ~1 00 per month
for all sewer connections where it was a hardship on
a person desiring a connection to the cit#fls sewer
system. to pay more.
