Cleaning out and deepening of ditch on 8th Street at Sylvan Beach starting at San Jacinto Street running to Park Avenue and down the west side of Park Avenue t o gullet'. Cleaning out and deepening of ditch starting at corner known as the Tom Mayes corner north of St. Mary+a University Ground going west one block to Park Avenue and north one block, continuing from that poirrt the digging oP a new ditch on the east aide of Park Avenue to the gullet'. Cleaning out and deepening of ditch starting at th.e.Mayesl-corner going north one block to Jonas corner and then west one block to Park Avenue inter- secting with the ditch. Cleaning out and deepening of ditch starting at San Jacinto Avenue and running east on South H Street to the gullet'. Cleaning ditch across South B Street from the lift plant to intersect with ditch on South side of street. N~ Cleaning out and deepening of ditch on South Street where necessary from P~[ain greet to South J; also cleaning and deepen3.ng from South J to gullet'. Cleaning out and deepening ditch vrhere necessary starting at Main Street on North Second Street to North B, turning east on north B to Main Street, crossing Main Street on South 10th to the gullet'. Making necessary ditch on South 8th Street from J to the gullet' for the purpose of relieving flood condition at 8th and J Streets. . Beach Park", and to finance the same by issuing income and revenue bonds of the City of La Porte payable solely from the income and revenue of said "Sylvan Beach Park"; and VuIiEREAS, it is also the desire of the City of La Port© to secure a loan and grant from the United States of ,America, through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public ti'~torks, and to authorize and em~po~~ler the Iliayor of the City of La Porte to file an application therefor and to present same; NOb', THEREFORE; BE IT RESGLVED BY THE CITY COUI'dCll, OF THI; CITY OF LA PORTS, TE~:ASs Section 1: That the 7ti'[ayor of the City of La Porte, Texas, be, and he is hereby fully authorized and empoinrered to make application and to present same to the Nnited States of Arreri.ca, through. the Federal Emergency Adminis- tration of Public ;"~(orks, for a loan and grant for the purpose of purchasing, equipping and improving a recreation and amusement parlc located ir_ the City of La. Porte, Harris County, Texas, knov~n as "Sylvan Beach Park"; said loan to be secured by bonds issued by the City of La Porte payable solely out of the income and revenue from the ot~eratian of said "Sylvan Beach Park".
