All members of the council were present. i~i.inutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. ~i 11 from ~y ~~' Hunt for X9.04 was approved. Cn motion by Ald. Counts and second by Ald. Agee the Mayor was authorized to appoint a committee of two to study the bids far re- roofing the flat roof part of the City hall Li dg. and submit their reccommendations at the next meeting ~bf the council. Carried. Cn motion by Ald. Counts and second by Ald. dolton the bid of the La Porte Lbr. Co. on concrete culvert was accepted. Carried . Ald. Counts offered a motion which was seconded by Ald. dolton that moti on to accept bid of La Porte Lber . Co« for concrbl~e culvert be recinded and that committee of entire council be appointed to investigate the diferent grades of pipe and report back to council. Carried. Ald. Counts offered a motion which was seconded by Ald. Agae that matter of relining brakes on the City Truck lF 1 be refered to a committee ~uith power to act. The rr3ayor appointed Ald. Counts and K Dark . Carrf ed. Ald. Doyle offered a motion which was seconded by A1d.Agee that that the grueling of 7,8 and D streets be completed and the City truck ~~~~t haul gravel and fill holes, gravel to be taken from the cities gravel concession and that Norris roe, load the truck with his men at a c ost to the city of twenty five cents per load, and that when the above projects were co~~plsted all gravel hauling by Norris Bros. under their contract would cease until a meeting could be called and arrangements made for further work. Carried. Ald. Holton offered a motion which. was seconded by Ald. Counts that Ald. Counts see Ed. Counts offered a motion which was seconded by Ald. Agea that the City make the sewer connection from the drain line of C G Sullivan and the Cities i~:ain and charge the cost of same to the propertg. Roark the Street and alley co~~nittee was instructed to investigate a gasoline underground tank offered the city by R x Busch for use as a culvert on gully on Roscoe St. Carried. Rev. Vd ~. Chappell appeared before the council and asked that the city donate sufficient gravel to gravel Second St. from N,~ A to the iv. line of Philip Smiths property on Second. On motion by Ald. Counts and second by Ald. rlolton the request was granted. No further business to come before the council ad~ourn- ment was taken by the unaimous vote of the board. xayor
