Motion by Ald. Boyle, Second by Ald.. T~olton that the appointment of the Official
newspaper for the City be left opetl for further investigation and that the bal-
anee of the appoix~trsents of the Mayor be ratified. Carried by record vote
as follows: Roark, yes, Boyle, yes, Agee, yea, Holton,yea, Ruff, yea.
Assistant City Secretary, applications
Applications for position of Assistant City Secretary were seed.
Moved by Ald. Ruff, seoond by Ald. Roark that the applications for position
of Assistant City Secretary be placed on file for further investigation.

On motion of Ald. Ruff, second by Ald. Boyle, the following resolutions
were adopted:
First, ze it resolved that the City Council of the City of La Porte
hereby express their appreciation of the valued and valuable servitses
rendered by Mr Chris Isensee, Jr. to the City and the citizens of La Porte
and the Eayshore and hereby expressly directs that an appropriate letter
be given to Mr. Isensee in cox®nendation for the efficient and faithful
services during the past many years as Chief of the Dire Department of
the C.ty of La Borte.
Second, ae it resolved that the City Council of the City of La Porte
a hereby express their appreciation of the valued and valuable serviees
renderei by Mr. Charles Wilson to the City and the citizens of La Porte smtx#3[n
