Holton be adopted: Whereas, the Ordinance prescribing the compensation for the City Marshall during the present term of office, through error, did not include the fifty-cent (50¢) fee for each license paid on coin operated machines, and whereas, the `'ity Council desires to pay the City Marshall saach compensation for each such license fee paid since April 1st, 1936, and hereafter to be paid, NotN, 7lierefore, be it resolved by the 3Touncil of ,the City of La Porte that it shall be the duty of t he City blar~n.all ~to enforce the provisions of the Ordinance requirir{g a license for each coin operated ~~machine and as f~ compensation for such services he shall be paid, out of the general funds of the Ci ty, the sum of fifty cents (50~L) for egch and every license fee paid, as required by such Ordinance. Boyle that the Fire Chief be asked to assist the (airman of the Building Com. in finding the leaks in the City Hall roof. Carried City Truckle Gov t surplus%,- Goose Creek I4lotion by yld. Agee, second by Ald. Ruff that the City of La Porte send the City Truck to Goose Creek every Tuesday morning to pick up the Government surplus to be distributed to Relief clients in La Forte. Iroyle that J.L.Dunham~ s propositio~i regarding the petition of the ~.remen be referred to the next regular meeting of the Council. Carried. Lots in Block 59, L.P. The report of the Committee on the lots owned by the City in block 59 was as follows: her T. J. Simpson will pay X25.00 per lot for the two lots owned by the City in Block 59, L.P.. Iv~oti on by Ald. Holton, second by ald. Esoyle that when b.r T.J. Simpson is ready to buy Lots ,Block 59, L.P. owned by the City, that the &~~ayor and City Sec' y be authorized to draw up the necessary papers to give 1VIr Simpson aquit-claim ~ deed to these lots and complete t_he transaction. old. Ruff asked that the report which he was to give on the condition of the sewerage which seemed to be flooding the water meters at the N~cKay and 1B1u~ham residences, be carried over to the next Council meeting.
