OF THE LA FORTE CITY COUNCIL

Meeting, which was an ad3ourned session from Monday night, May 25th, was
called to order by Mayor Sharp, with the following Aldermen presents
J.J.Roark, C.M.Agee, F.R.Boyle, Fred Ruff.
Minuted oP the last meeting were read and approTVd.

Otto Emal letter- quit claim deed
Letter from Mr Otto Ema,l dated May 23rd,1936 was read requesting that the
quit-claim deed and draft cowering same, on Lots "1x.7 ~ l~8, Bloch 2~., B.F.
be left at the National Bank of Co~nerce_ up to and including May 31st ,1936.
Motion by A1d. Boyle, seoond by Ald. Ruff that Mr Emal's roquest be granted.
Carried.
Quit Claim dyed, Lots 18 to 21, Nlk, 11, B.F.
Motion by Ald. Boyle, seoond by Ald. Ruff that upon payment by id[rs Jamea Brown
of ~53.9~, plus the taxes due on Lots 18,19,20 do 21,Block 11, Bay Front, the
Mayor and City Secretary execute and deliTer a quit-claim dyed to Mrs James
Brown on said lots. Carried.
A.S.Hamilton
Motion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Boyle that A.S.Hamilton be paid 1~0¢ per hour
8 hours per day, effective as of May 15th, 8arried •
Motion by Ald. Boyle, second bye Ald. RoarY that the Mayor and City Secretary
be authoritvd to isst~o a warrant for ~86.1~0 refun8 on taxes paid on BlocY
982, L.P. in the years 1929,1930 and 1931, by Seaside Realty Co, upon payment
of all taxes due the City of La Porte by the C.A.Barbour~interests, certain of
._
said taxes being now in the name of the Seaboard Realty Co. on property claimed
by the said C.A.Barbour Est. interests. Carried o~®r

Motion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Ruff that the letter of Mrs J.W.Shelor
adressed to the City Council be turned over to the City Attorney for reply.

Leaks, City Hall Roof
After~~ consideration of the report of Ald. Ruff on the City Hall roof,Ald.
Agee offered a motion, second by Ald. Roark , that the Mayor appoint a

ecanmittea to sot with Bldg. Com. Chairman Ruff to take care of th® leaks
in the City Hall roof. Carried. Mayor Sharp appointed Ald. F.R.Boyle•
Corporation Court supplies
Motion by Ald. Boyle, second by A1d. Roark that the Corporation Judge be
authorized to order whateaer supplies are necessary to carry on the Corp.
oration Court. Carried.

-Motion by Ald. Ruff, seaond by Ald. Roark that the City send delegates to the
Firemen's Convention at Ft Worth June~~l;4 1936, and allow X30.00 for ea-
penses• Carried.

Motion by Ald. Boyle, secand by Ald. Roark that the Sewer Com. be author-
ized to get up specifications and take bide on laying a sewer line in the
PTorth between North B. ~; Main. St
alley between 8th and 9th streets,/and report to the next Counail meeting. `
Carried.
On motion of Ald. Ruff, sccond by Ald. Boyle the Council adjourned.
