The meeting was called to order by Trgaror Sharp with the follo~ring Aldermen
answering to roll call: C.~I.Agee, Geo. Holton, J.J.Roark and Pred Ruff.

IVir E.L.Crain appeared before the Counreil and asked consideration of a letter
which he submitted, regarding water connection for certain Bayridge residents
to the La Porte :"rater System. The Mayor read the letter to the Council and
after discussion the City Attorney was instructed to draw up a contract to be
submitted to the Council for their approval, The Mayor IIalled a Special meeting
of the Council to convene at 12:20 P.M. July 17th to consider this proposed
contract.

The 2Mayor stated at this time that the purpose of the meeting of July 16th was ..
to appoint an Equalization Board for the City of La Porte and he appointed the
following members to serve for the 1936 session: ~.Y'U.Reynolds, J.Hall Sheppard,
and Tom De Walt, alternates, H.B.Harrison and F.C.Dorgan.
Pdotion by Ald. Holton, second by Ald. t:oark that the Iulayorws appointments be rati-
fied by the Council. Carried.

The T>~Iayor stated that the purpose of the meeting was to consider a contract
which the City Attorney had been instructed to draw up pursuant to the letter
submitted to the Council by Pdr E.L.Crain on July 16th,19j6. The City Attorney
stated that he had lacked sufficient time or information as to the wished of
the Council im the matter and had therefore ileen unable to draw up the afore-
mentioned contract. He asked for intructions in the matter.
i~,+s C.O.Crenshaw was requested to report on the testing of the water pressure
in the Bayridge area. The Council then outlined the provisos which they
wished incorporated in the contract.
