Holton. Minutes of the last regular and two special meetings were read and ap- proved. Bi11s On motion of Ald. Boyle second by Ald. Agee the following bills were al- ~owed: Edw. Cowley X31.80, John Brooker X3.60, Slater Chappell, $1.00 with the understanding that Brooker's and Ctkappell's should be applied on their respectite water accounts. Serer Bills a rota.]. The City Secretary asked the Council's d~t~lt~s~~~i of the payment of the following two bills which the Sewer Com. had oked and which had been paid on July lr3th,1936, : Huweiler Lumber Co. $71.88, V1.E.Hooper, ~73,61~. On Notion ofAld. Ruff second bye A1d. Boyle these bills were approved. Royal T.':~u.CB• 3111 4n motion of Ald. Agee, second by ~l.d. Boyle, the bill of the Royal Type- writer Co. for X81.00 was approved and ordered paid • Ta:ces The City Secretary asked autho~tity to draw a warrant on the Delinquent Tax Fund for ~11~..25 to reIIOVer certain taxes which went to this fund in error this warrant to be drawn in favar of the Interest and Sinking Funds to which these taxes should hale gone. Moicion by Ald. Boyle, second by Ald Agee that the City Secretar,~ be given this authority. Carried. Special meeting- rI.O.CIarlie The 1Rayor read a letter addressed to t~-:e Mayor, City Council and City At- torneY from H.O.Clarke,Jr, regarding the City's proposal as to water line to serve residents of Bayridge. After discussion the Mayor called a special meeting of the City Council for Thursday, July 30th, at 5:3o P.Pd. provided Mr Clar)se could meet with the Council. Tools- r^ire Dept Motion by Ald. Ruff, second by Ald. Agee that .P.R.Boyle, chairman of the Fire Com. be authorized to buy some tools for the Fire Dept. Carried. Sirens add Fire Hose Motion by Ald. Ruff, second by Ald. Holton that the matter of fire siren and police siren be referred to the Fire Ca~xn. and Police Com. along with the matter of the purchase of Fire Hosa, bidi9 to be asked for and reported to the next Council meeting. Carried. over 2 ~ • Budget The Budget for the City for 1936-37 was submitted to the Council by the Mayor for approval. Motion by Ald. Holton, second by Ald, Ruff that the Budget as submitted by the Mayor be adopted and placed on file in the office of the City Secretary for in- ,~ spection by the ta~cpayers and that a public hearing be had at the City Hall on August 10th, 1936,at 8:00, P.I., and that the City Secretary cause notice of hearing to be published. Carried NYA Application Motion by Ald. Ruff, seoond by Ald. Boyls that F.R.Boyle be instructed to file application for NYA appropriation with the proper authorities. Carried Salary, Asst City Sec'y Motion by A}d. Boyla, second by Ald. Ruff, that the Salary of the Assistant City Secretary be raised from X40.00 to X50.00 per month beginning August 1st. Mr Ruff seoonded the motion with the understanding that the Councilmen who were absent be consulted on the matter. Carried. Motion by Ald. YIolton, second by Ald. Ruff that the meeting adjourn.
