respondir~ to roll call, C.Ibi. Agee, F.R. Boyle, Fred R. Ruff.
I~iinutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
A .representative from the fl~ahattan Fire Co. appeared before the ~.o~cil
in the interest of selling fire hose to the City.
Adjusted bill - Iia.gnolia Pet. Co
Bill of the T.Sagnolia Petroleum Co. which had been held over ~o be checked
was approved as adjusted to the amount of X7.27. P.Iotion by Ald, Boyle,
second by Ald. Ruff that bill be paid. Carried.
City Taxes on clock 220- School Dist.
A letter was read adressed to the P'"ayor and C®tzncil from the La Porte Ind-
ependent School Dist. in regard to City taxes on Block 220,La Porte.
I'~otion by Ald. Boyle, second byi Ald. Ruff, that the City Attorney be in-
structed to prepare an answer to letter received from the La Forte Inde-
pendent School Dist., dated Sept. 19th, in regard to exchange of taxes ,
advising the School Dist. that the City Council is willing to cancel del-
inquent taxes on Block 220, La Forte, in exchan;e for a like aarount of
School Dist. taxes or_ property to be designated by the City. Carried

Water Consumers outside City Limits
T"otion by Ald. Boyle, second by Ald. Ruff that the City Secretary be in-
structed to notify all ureter consumers outside the City Limits that a new
contract for water will be entered into on Jan. 1st, 1937. Carried.

Liotion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Boyle that the bill of E.P. ~`llon for
services rendered the City be paid when the bill has been O.I:.ed by the
Police Com. Carried.

Liotion by Ald. Boyle, second by Ald. Agee that the Police Cori. b® authorized
to employ 3 men at "J~..00 for 12 hours as nightwatch~:en on Uallo~voen night, as
provided in the budget. Carried.

Liotion by Ald. Boyle, second by Ald. Ruff that the City Secretary be instuct-
ed to vrrite the T"inor Stevrart Lst. that a Sewer Conn. permit must be taken out
by them on the sewer connection recently rzade bn the property occupied by Jasper
Christy, and the regular i`hspeetidn fee of ~1~.00 inust~ be ' a'id, also that a
Plumbing permit must be taken out and inspection foe of $1.00 paid. Carried.

7.'he Council instructed the City Secretary to write to TuTr I~?.0. Soremson that
a Sewer Conn. Permit must be taken out on his property irrmlediately or the
Council vrill take action in the matter. TP_otion to this effect by Ald. Ruff,
second by Ald. Agee, was carried.

Adjustment- V"dater A~C EeCV• Control
Motion by Ald. Foyle, second by Ald. Agee that the City Secretary be authorized
to make adjustment of V'Vater Accounts Receivable Control in the amount of X1.50
to agree with detail as recommended by auditor in report of fiscal year, April

Learned & Tapp balance.
Lotion by Ald. Boyle, second by Ald. Agee that the City Secretary be authorized
to pay the balance of X29.91 due Learned & Tapp on their contract for new book-
keeping systems. and ask them to furnish the 500 voucher sheets which the City is
now short, this.•payment to be made from the Delinquent Tax Flznd. Carried.

Motion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Ruff, that the City Secretary's office be
closed on Election Day, Nov. 3rds fi936; Garried~
City S~c'y Tacation
Motion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Ruff that it will be agreeable with the
City C uncil for the City Secretary to take her vacation from Nov. 12th to
Nov. 2~st inclusive. Carried.
On motion of A1~. Boyle, second by Ald. Ruff the Council took adjournment.
