NOVEMBER 9th,1936

Meeting was called to order by Mayor Sharp with the following Councilmen
responding to roll call: C.P. Agee, F.R. Boyle, J.J. Roark, Fred R. Ruff.
Minutes of the list meeting were read and approved.

furixiture and the bill of X128,86 for water pipe fittings be paid from the
General Fund when due. Carried
Norris Bros. Antep. War.
Motion by Ald. Agee,second by Ald. Ruff, that the amount of X62.81 on the
prsncipal and~19.88interest be paid on Norris Bros. Anticipating ~~arrant of~662.81
and the balance of X600.00 be renwwed, on I~TOV. 11.4.th,1936 for a period of
90 days. Payment to be made from the Delinquent Tax Fund. Carried.
'. Letter®- Water Supply, Fire Hose
A letter from the Eureka Fire Hose Co. thanking the City for the recent order
i for Fire Hose, was read and placed on file.
' A letter to the N.ayor from the State Health Department listing eleven suggest-
ions for improving sanitary conditions •relative to the City's water supply, was
read and placed on file. The dater Com. was charged with the carrying out of
' these suggestions and reported that some of them had already been complied with.
P~ileage- City Employees
Motion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Roark, that the City ea~plp3aees be allowed
two cents per mile for the use of their own cars in emergencies. Carried

Cancell old warrant
Motion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Ruff that the City Secretary be given au-
thority to cancell City Warrant ~ 9756,dat~d~ L~~,r:16•,.T~3j.,oii,Delinquent Tax Fund
~ f8r~0.11~. and made in favmr of the Bayshore Realty Co. since the warrant had been
outstanding for a period of 20 month~d had not been cahhed. Carried.

Motion by Ald. Roark, second by Ald. Ruff, that Ver.E. Hooper be allowed the sum
of fifty cents(50¢) for setting the saddlo on the E.P. Sullivan sewer connection
job. Carried.

Second S®wer Conn.
The City Secretary asked for further instructions in handling of sewer connection
permits where parties crake a second sewer connection on their own property by tie-
ing into the original connection with a Y. The Council instructed the Secretary ~ ~
that in such cases a swwer connection permit should be taken out but no fee charged, ~"
and that a plumbing permit should be taken out, inspection made and fee collected.
Second-sewer connections-of the-T~inor Stewart;.Est: and Home Economics Bldg.. La Porte
High School are to be handled under this ruling.

Motion by Ald. Ruff , second by Ald. Boyle that the City Purchase a new City Di-
rectory for the stun of X8.00 Carried•-

Motion by. Ald. Agee, second by Al d. Ruff that the City Secretary's office be
closed on Armistice Day. Carrie d• -

Letter addressed to the l~iayor from Federal Emergency Adm. referring to Docket No•
Tex.1531a. Amusement Fark, was read and ordered placed on file, on -T~totion of Ald.

Clear Title

title to the following described property acquired by the City under Tax Title:

Reports were heard from the Street & 811ey Cod. Chairman on opening the alleys
in the City and from the Sewer Com. Chairman on the cleaning up of the Disposal
Plant.
