Meeting urea called to order by Mayor Sharp with the following Aldermen re-
sponding to Roll Ca11: C.M. Agee, F.R. Boyle, J.J. Roark, "red R. Ruff.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Seaside Realtyi Co- tax refund
The City Secretary reported that the claim of refund on overpaid taxes by the
Seaside Realty Co. had been investigated by the Mayor and City Seoretary and
found to be correot, whereupon a warrant was issued in the amount of $86.1}0
which wns applied on 1936 taxes of the Seaside Realty C~.
Suit dix~issed
The City Secretary reported that the City Attorney had Snit ~ 77,309 against
Lots land 2, Block 22, Bayfront dismissed upon the payment of suit costa
in the amount of $2.l~.0. District Clerk's Receipt ~j8767 was filed with the
correspondence of Mrs L.L. Slager in regard to this suit.
Rgyal Typewriter sold
City Secretary reported that the old Royal Typewriter owned by the City had
been sold to Mra Dorgan Harris for the stipulated price of X15.00 and that
an initial payment of $3.00 had been made.
Warrant to orroct error
Motion by A~d. Ruff, second by Ald. Boyle, that the actio2~ of the Mayor and
City Secretary in issuing City of La P rte Warrant ~'f21 in the amount of
~0.?_0 in favor of the First National Bunk of La Porte and drawn on the Int-
erest and Sinkg. Bond Fund to Correct error made on Report ~j6, dated Jan.
22nd, 1937, be ratified. Carried.

Motion by Ald. Agee, second by Ald. Ruff, that the following payments be Wade
on outstanding notes and anticipating wa.rranta: On Norris Bros. Ant. War.
for X600.00 due Feb 1~}'~1937, X300.00 and X9.00 interest due to that date,
on note of American La France for X1,000 due Mar.lst,1937,~500.00 and $30.00
interest due to that date, on balance due the Eureka Fire Hose Div. that the
entire amount of X280.00 due Mar. lOth,1937 be paid, and that the City Attor-
ney be authorized to drtw up the necessary papers for the renewal of balances
due on Norris Broa. And. War. and American La Franoe note. Carried

Stray Dogs
Motion by Ald. Boyle, seoond by A~d. Roark, that an "ad" be put in. the offioial
neavspaper,the Daily Sun, !~",doubl oo~umn, warning citisens to pen up their doge
and that all stray dogs will be exterminated. Carried.
Com. on Pay Telephone
Mayor Sharp appointed Ald. Agee and A d. Ruff as a oammittse to oonfer with the
So.W. Bell Tel. Co. in regard to a pay telephone to be installed in La Porte.
Burning of Bonda-affidavit
Motion by ALd. Ruff, seoond by A d. Boyle, that Ald. Agee prepare affidavit that
City of La Porte Refunding Bonds'~1,2,3, and 1.~.w~ere burned and present to the next
Counoil meeting and that if suoh duty is not performed a p~inalty of $20.00 ~~ri.13~ be
