Meeting was called to order by Mayor Sharp with the foll~ing Aldermen
responding to roll call: P.L. Benson, ^.R.. Boyle, J.J. Roark,Fred R. Ruff.
Pdinutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Letters from the Guardian I~.~ercantile Agency of New York and the Chase
Brass and Copper Co. of Houston were reed said ordered placed or_ file.
Eq$ipment The matter of the purchase of a new ladder and other needed egmipment
Fire Dept for t1':e Fire Department was presented and on motion by Ald. Boyle,
second by Ruff, the City Secretary was instructed to order the following
from ~`~.5. Darley & Co. of Chicago:
1 Red Arrow Fireman's Ladder, 30 feat extended. 31.Q2
1 Double Male Connection 22" standard thread 3.75

The above motion was carried by a majority of those present.
Z&1~T0 On motion by Ruff, second by Boyle, and carried by a majority of those
sewer chg present, the payment of Bill No.R51.~55l~. in the amount of ."1.00 to tYie
T. & T•T.O.R.F. for sewer space, paid by warrant No.ll~57,was ratified.
Bill I~,~otion by Ruff, second by Benson, that the bill of Thompson-Iiayeva.rd
Far- Chemical Co. for par-chloron, in the amount of X4.00 be paid.

Transfer DRotion by Boyle, second by Roark, that the sum of X100.00 be transferred
fror-~ the Delinquent Tax Fund, to t'he General Fund. Carried
Frowning- Notion by Boyle, second by Ruff, that the Browning-Ferris Machinery Co.
Ferris note in the amount of X250.00, due January 1,1938, with interest to date
dote in the amount of X7.50, be handled in the following manner: the amount of
X125.00 tc be paid on the principal, X7.50 interest to date to be paid,
both from the Delinquent Tax ~~~nd, the balance of X125.00 on tY.e note to
be renewed for QO days from da~e with interest from. date at the rate of
per annum. Carried.

Int.Coupons Z~4otiozi by Boyle, second by Ruff, that the Mayor and City Secretary be
'.",'arrants authorized to issue a warrant on the Int. and Sinking Tarrant Fund in
the amount of X60.00 for exchange payable to the Manufacturers Trust
Co. of New York, N.Y. to cover Interest Coupons on exchanged City of
La Porte Refunding '+~arrants, due January 10,193&. Carried.
Drainage, Notion by Ruff, second by Roark, that the matter of drainage for the
~~~inchen& l~~inchen and Tennant properties in La Porte be turned over to the Street
Tennant ~ Alley Committee, who are to bring in full information as to the cost,
completo,of such a project and. the propesed method of handling same.
Carried.

Council take adjournment.
