Carried. k~feiffer Motion by Agee, second by Ruff, that of the Pfeiffer Electric Co. bill in L1ec.Co the amount of X5.60, the carried over item of ~~~2.60 be paid and that the item 1?ill of y~3.00 for repair of traffic lights be held up until traffic lights have been properly adjusted. Carried. The City Secretary presented letters from Eller ~~; Gripp Co. and U.S. Elevated Tank T.a intenance Co. which were ordered placed on file. Coz•p. The Taayor presented the Corporation: Court reports for the months of July and Co~.t August. ?~"otion by Agee, second by Ruff, that the reports be accepted and placed on file and that warrants be drawn in payment of the fees of the ?:"ayor and City %4arshall. Carried. over 2 • • ~: icl~el bill *TV7otion by Boyle, second by t3enson, that the report of the Police om- mittee on the settlement of the Harry Nickel bill b© accepted and placed on file and that the Police Committee be given further time to make a 'arshall report on a schedule for City T~arshall's fees for impounded animals and fees on permits for sound equipment as referred to in ~rdinanco P1o. 271. Carried. ~!Zotion by Boyle, second by Ruff, that the Finance Committee be given further time in which to report on the bill for postage, of the :~Ianu- facturer's Trust Co. Carried. T::otion by Ruff, second by Roark, that the I~;ayor be given ten days more time in which to effect an adjustment of the Eller-Gripe bill in the amount of ~89.7I~. Carried. ?esolution I=otion by Agee, second by Ruff, that the following resolution be adopt- F~udm,et ed; '1't~-iEREAS, heretofore the T~~'ayor of the City of La forte prepared and submitted to the City Council his proposed Budget for the fiscal year, April 1,1938 to ~~Iarch 31,1839, and; VdHEREAS, the City Council filed such proposed Budget with the Clerk of the City on the ~3th day of August, A.I?. 1938, and .designated tl-,at a public hearing on such Budget be held at the City Mall at ~?;00 P.1'. on September 12,193£: a~xd caused public notice of such hearixig to be made and; WfiEREAS, such public hearing has been held-, it: is therefore or- dered by the Council that the 1'udget, as px•eparec? and submitted by the I~~ayor, is hereby finally approved by the City Council aid it is hereby ordered that a true copy of such approved Y'udget, together vrith a copy of this order, shall be filed in each of the offices of tY,_e Clerk of the ;ity of La Forte, the County Clerk of Ilarris Cour_ty, Texas and the State Comptroller, at Austin, Texas.
