Bills r:4otion by Ruff, second by Roark, that l~j of 1"Torthington Damon PReter Co. bill of ~333.3t~ be paid and that Dunlay Armand bill of "71.22 be allowed for payment, both of the above mentioned payments to be made when City funds are available. Carried. Note I.gotion by Boyle, second by Roark, that 1/`3 of the Eureka :"ire Dose note Eureka of$~550.00 be paid when City funds are available. Carried. Refdg. Isotion by Roark, second by Ruff, that the City of La Porte Refunding Warrants ~~arrants in the amount of X2,000.00, which have been called in for payment on January lOth,1939, be authorized to be paid by the rdayor and City Secretary, on that date, from the Interest and Sinking ~Yarrant Fund, together with interest coupons in the amount of X60.00 due at that date. Carried. Post Motion by Boyle, second by Ruff, that the City Secretary be authorized to Cards issue a warrant in the amount of ~1~,00 to cover the cost of post cards necessary for the printing of water bills. Carried. Lotion by Boyle, second by Ruff, that the following resolution be adopted: Theatre RESOLUTION Parking ~~ ti"IHEREAS ," the City of La Porte has heretofore passed and ap- prov~d Ordinance No. 261, regulating traffic upon the public streets of the City of La Porte; and , ~` 1 L ~'UHERE,AS, such Ordinance provides that the City Council shall, by resolution, determine and designate the character of all offioial traf- fic signs and signals and shall designate the location where the same ~` shall be installed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THAT: the standing or park3.ng of any vehiole is prohibited xithin the space, Twenty- Four (21.x) feet in width, on the north side of the street in front of and adjacent to the property on which is located the "Port Theatre", on West Plain Street, between First and Second Streets, in the City of La Porte, Texas, and further that the ~oliee Committee is hereby authorized and in- structed to properly mark and sign said place as a "no parking zone". AND IT IS SO ORDERED. Carried.
