The following correspondence was read by the City Secretary: Correspond- ~~ letter from the Eureka Fire Hose Division of the United States ence Rubber Co. granting a 2~ discount on the City's bill of X260.00, letter from W.F. ~3artranft of Jersey Heights, N.J. in which he de- clined the City's offer to take up his City of La Porte Refunding warrant No. 3, in the amoytnt of .;500.00 and interest to date, a letter from Joe R. Kubena, Seo'y of the Slavonic Benevolent Or- der of the State of Texas, accepting the City's offer to take up the Order's City of La Porte Refunding warrant No. 9 with interest to date ~f payment.
