Loan P:`otion by Agee, second by duff, that the City of La forte borrow~p500.00
fro~~ the First National rank of La Porte, Texas, and that the IV":ayor and
City ~eeretary be authorized to execute the necessary papers to complete
this loan, for ninety days from date,at 6~ per annum interest.

L.l'.Pdw motion by Agee, second by Benson, that the bill of the La Porte Hardware Co.
bill for 2,900 ft of 2" pipe, in the arnour~t of X553.90, less 2°,~ for cash, be or-
dered paid and that the Mayor and City Secretary be authorised to issue a
'arrant to cover same.

Hire Mayor Sharp announced the appointment of R.L. Acker as~Fire Marshall and
'~arshall ~.R. Aves,L'~.D. as City 1-iealth Officer for tY~e coming year.
Health lx~otian by Boyle, second by Agee, that the Ma.yar's appointments be confirmed.

Bonds to be The City Secretary reportod that the following described City of La Porte
Burned Refunding Bonds had been cancelled and returned:
City of La Porte Refunding Bonds No. Eleven (11), Twelve (12),
and Thirteen (13), eaoh in the principal sua of One Thousand
Dollars,(~1,000.00), dated October 10,A.D.1934 and due April
10,A.D. 1939•
Motion by Ruff, second by Benson, that these bonds be turned over to
the Mayor to be burned and that proper affidavit of same be furnished
at the next regular Council meeting.

Insurance PROtion by Boyle, second by Agee, that the Insurance Policy covering
renewed Fire and Theft, on the American La France Fire Truck, which expires
?day 12,1939 and the Blanket Accident Policy No. V.F. 3492, covering
the La P rte Volunteer Fire Dept.,whieh expires May 21st,1939, both
be ordered renewed.

Hi way bSotion by Boyle, second by Benson, that the Mayor bd requested to write
Patrol the State Highway Department and the County Sheriffs•Office requesting
Highway Patrol Service for the La Porte area.
- Carried.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, on motion
by Agee and carried by those present,-the Council took ad3ournment.
