Roark, Fred R.Ruff. Baugher,~6.I~.0.,Tota1 amount,~1~.5.20 Carried. over Budget The Mayor presented the proposed Budget for the fiscal year oP April 1,1939 to March 31,190. Motion by Boyle, second by Roark, that this proposed Budget be ac- cepted, filed in the office of the City Secretary for inspection by the public, that a public hearing be held on August ].i~,1939,at the City Ha11 at La Porte, Texas, at 8:00 P.M. and that proper notice of such hearing be published in the official newspaper. Carried Coin Machine Motion by Boyle, second by Ruff, that the matter of the collection Licenses oP 6oin Machine Licenses due on P~dusic Coin ?Machines be turned over to the Police Committee to be handled by them. Carried H.B. 580 The City Attorney reported that House Bill No.580,Revenue Bond Law Revision, had been passed by the Legislature but had been vetoed by the Governor. This bill is referred to in the Texas League of Mu- nicipalities letter of June 23,.1939. Firemens Alderman Boyle reported that the annual State r^ire School will be Sohool held July 17th to 21st inclusive,at Tess A&M College at College Tarrant Station. Boyle offered a motion, seconded by Roark, that a war- rantsin the sum of X70.00 be issued to the La Porte Volunteer Fire Department to cover the expenses of two fireman to this school.
