The following Aldermen were present: C.?,~. Agee, F.R. Boyle, J.J. Roark, Fred R. Ruff. '~inutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Int. on Motion by Boyle, second by Agee, that the Mayor and City Secretary ''t?B note be authorized to pay the interest to due date on the City~s note to Renevral the First Nat!1 Bank of La Porte, in the amount of X500.00, due Aug. 9,1939, and that the note be renewed for 90 days. Carried. Varrants Motion by Ages, second by Boyle, that warrants in the total amount of ratified X17.25 be ratified, as follows No• 2896, Geo.H. Sharp,~3.75, No.2897 E.P. Allen,~7.50, No. 2898, Jasper Christy,~6.00 Carried. 1!iarrant ~~otion by Roark, second by Agee, that the City secretary be instructed cancelled to cancell warrant No. 2890, in the amount of X35.00, drawn in favor of the La Porte Volunteer Fire Dept. since it was not used. Carried. ~,Varrs.nts to Motion by Noyle, second by Roark, that the Mayor and City Secretary be Correct e.r~cr authorized to issue the following; warrants; warrant o~ the Int. do ~.kg• warrant Fd. in the amount of X0,75 in favor of the Int.&Skg.Sewer Fdg. Bond Fd. to correct error in distribution of H.E. Vlherley 193b taxes, j CRNo.208, and ~ ~arrant on the General Fund in the amount Qf X1.50 to transfer water Deposit of John Talley to his delinquent dater Account. Carried. Adjust taxes The City Secretary presented a letter from E.A. Kelly, .Atty. Carried. `elq.Tax The Delinquent Tax Roll for the year 1938 was presented by the City Roll Secretary and Tax Collector and was examined by the Council. Ald. Agee offered a motion, second by Roark, that the 1938 Delinquent Tax Poll as of June 30,1939 in the amount of ~8,515.A2 be approved. Carried.
