The X30.00 Warrant to City Secretary huthorized to:_increase 6hange Fund. Carried. Prestone The City Secretary presented a report from L.L. Price that the Ever- ready Prestone had been drained from the City Trucks and placed in storage in the garage. over i ~ ~orp.Court The P.~ayor presented the report of the Corporation Court Report of March,191~.0. Motion by Ruff, second by Agee that the CorporationCourt be accepted and placed on file and that authorized for the fees. for the month report of the ~~arrants be Carried. Report The yiayor presented a letter and annual report from the Houston Lighting H.L.& p.Co and Power Company of Houston, Texas.I~otidr. by Agee, second by Ruff, that the report of the Houston Lighting and Power Co. be accepted and placed ~n file. Carried. Street The lLRayor reported that certain partied have under fence, a City street fenced adjacent to a tract of land betvreen Blocks 33 and 34, Beach Park, owned by hors N:ae K. Dorgan. Motion by"Ruff, second by Agee, that the Street 8c Alley Committee be authorized to have the above mentioned City street which has been fenced, opened, acid that the City Attorney be requested to write a letter on the matter.' Carried . Garbage The bTayor reported on the matter ~of plans for a garbage dump outside ~ the City limits. Motion by Ruff; second by Agee,°tliat the Street & Alley Committee be authorized to make arrangements for a proper City dumping ground outside the City limits, with power to act. ` Carried. Siren Notion by Ruff, second by Agee, that the bid which the City had re- Switch ceived from Pfeiffer Elec. Co. on a Fire Siren Switch in the City office be opened at this time. ~ Carried. Pfeiffer Electric Co. submitted tero proposals, No. 1, for switch to be turned on and off in City office,' for X20.00, No. 2, for a sot of 3 ~"'ay Swatches so thaw alarm can be turned on in the Office and turned off in the Fire Station or vice versa, for ~22.F0. Lotion by Ruff, second by Agee, that Proposal ~To. 2 be accepted by the City and Pfeiffer `'lectric Co. be°instruc~ed to install the 3 way snitch . system. Carx•ied• Exemp. The City Secretary reported that the Exemption licenses for the Fire Lice. Trucks had arrived. I!Rotion by Agee, second by Ruff, that the licenses be kept in the vault until further instructions, from the Council. Carried. Firemen's The City Secretary reported that the Books of the La Porte Firemen's Relief Relief & Retirement Fund had not yet been audited. Motion by Ruff, Books second by Benson, that the Cit,'r'Attorney be instructed to conte.et the Audit audit firm of Learned & Tapp on the mater of the audit of the La Porte Firemen's Relief and Retirment Fund Books. Carried. Turrentine .The City Secreta'ry~read a letter from County Commissioner R.E. Turrentine, Jr. on the matter of the County cooperating with the City in the mainte- nance of a reasonable amount of streets inside the City limits. Potion by Ruff, second by Benson, that the Street & Alley Committee be instructed to indicate on a City Map, set aside for that purpose, the City streets which the City wishes to have the County cooperate in main- taining, and that the Committee meet vrith Commissioner Turrentine on the matter at an early dot©.
