due Worthington Gamon meter Co. be paid as soon as funds are available.

H.L.?cE Tie City Secretary reported that the I:iayor had ~.anded to the City Secretary's
Office the annual proportionate net earnings from the Houston Lighting &
Power Co. to the City of La Porte in the amount of X347.13 and adjustment on
Street Ligl~its of ~b51.50.
Deed Secretes y reported that the Deed on Lots 20 & 21 ?• Impts. Block 39, La Porte
had been delivered to the City Secretary's Office.
~'.ffidavit Secretary also presented an affidavit from the Daily Sun on the printing of
the annual election notices printed on Feb. 26,1941.

Exemp.Lcs Motion by Ruff, second by Agee, that the Exemption Licenses for the City's
:?ire Trucks Fire Trucks be turned over to the Fire Chief.

Corp.Court ?~~'ayor Sharp presented the Corporation Court F.eport for the period from
April lst,19~0 to March 24,191, total fines X17.00, ^~ayor's fees '$2.75.
'T'ime Deposits Notion by Agee, second by Ruff, that the Time Deposits of the Int. x ~:kg.
Refunding Bond ^und, one in the amount of p3~000.00.maturing ;March 25th
and one for_"F -.00 maturing ?arch ?~Oth, and the Time Deposit of the Int.
and Sinking Sewer Funding Bond Fund, in the amount of X700.00, maturing
March 30th,1941, be cashed and the interest collected, and that the am-
of X4,900,00, a surplus in the Int.~C Skg. Bond Fd. above April and October
requirements, and the amount of X1,800,00 ,a surplus in the Int. ~ Skg. Sewer
Fdg. Bond Fd. above April and October requirements, be put on Time Deposits
,~~" in the First National Bank of La Porte, to draw interest for one year, the
,% :~ayor and City Secretary being authorized to execute the necessary warrants,

authorized to purchase by ~rarrant on the Int.& Skg. Bond Fund, N.Y.
Exchange in the amount of X6,620.00, to retire 4 ~~ity of La Porte Re-
funding Bonds, Nos.18,19,20 ~; 21 ~ '1,000.00 each a_nd interest of
~2,b20.00, due April 10,1941 and exchange in the amount of X13.24 from
the General Fund to cover the commission of the Ianufactizrer's Trust Co
of i~~.Y. for handling these Bonds, also that the Na.yor and City Secretary
be authorized to pay at the First National Bank of La Porte by `~uarrant
drawn on the Int. ~ Skg. Sewer Fdg. Bond Fd., Sewer Funding Bond No.3
in the amount of `500.00 and Interest on Sewer Fdg. Bonds in the amount
of X200.00, due April 10,1941.

Tax Cancell- I!Iotion by Ruff, second by Johnson, that the Tax Cancellations shown on
ations the schedule attached to these minutes, be approved and authorized by
the Council and that the City Tax Collector be instructed to show these
cancellations on the Tax Records of the City.

Audit Bids AL~otion by Ruff, second by Roark, that the bids for audit be opened.
Carried.
