Meeting was called to order by Mayor Sharp, with the following Council
members and City Officials present: Ald. J. N. Johnson, C. ~'. Norris,
J• J. Roark, F. R, Ruff, City Attorney Kiibler, and. Assistant City
Secretary Isensea.
Minutes of the last regular meeting and the Sgecial meeting of Sept. 4, 191.1
were read and approved.

Warrant Motion by Ruff, and second by Roark that warrant 1.;.623, Mrs. M. 0. Lambly,
City Secretary, in the amount of ~1a.0.10 for government envelopes for the

hearing on suoh budget be held at the City Hall at 8:00 P.M. on September 8,
191.1, and caused public notice of such hearing to be made; and,

WHEREAS, such public hearinc~~ has been held, it is therefore ordered
by the Council that the budget, as prepared and submittdid by the Mayor, is
hereby finally approved by the City Council and it is hereby ordered that a
true copy of suoh approved budget, toget:~er with a copy of this order, shall
be filed in each of the offices of the Clerk of the City of La Porte, the
County Clerk of Harris County, Texas and the State Comptroller, at Austin,;.Texas•

AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, be adopted as read.
