The S cratary presented and read a letter, together with cheok in
the amount of #90.!0, from the Houston Natural Gas Corporation, in
payment of rental for the privilege of using and oecupyir_g the streets,
easements, alleys, parks and other public ways and places in the cor-
porate limits o£ the City of La Porte.
Hou. Nat. Gas Motion by Ruff, second by Johnson, that the City accept the Houston
Corp. Check Natural Gas Corpora4ions Check and thAt ~:he Secretary be instructed
to mail receipt to the Gas Co. and plece letter on file.

Ths Secretary presented a bill from Harold Pfeiffer in the amount of
X10.00, for unstopping Sewer anal Grease Trap at Duplex on 7th Ave.
Harold Motion by Agee, second by Ruff, that the Secretary bs instructed to
Pfeiffer, write a letter to Mr. Pfeiffer stating that the City would not pay
Sewer this bill as this work was not authorized by ±he City as the City
has men to do the work if they had bean called upon.
Carried.
Extension Motion by Ruff, second by Johnson, that the City Council extend the
taxes. period for paying delinquent taxes without penalty, for 1939 and prior
years, to March 1, 1912.
Carried.
