at Five Points, and to replace the posts'-that have been removed.

Affidavit The Assistant Seoretary presented an affidavit from the Daily Sun
on the publication of the statement of Current Assets and Liabilities
of the City of Ia Porte for the fiscal year from April 1, 191.1 to March
3Z, 191;2. Motion by Roark, second by Johnson that the affidavit be
placed on file.

Resolution Motion by Roark, second by Johnson, that the follo~ring resolution be

WHEREAS, heretofore, the Mayor of the Cite of La Porte prepared
and submitted to the City- Co~mcil, at its regular meeting held on the
23rd day of June, A.D. 19112, his proposed budget for the fiscal year,
April 1, 19Li2 to Duarch 31, 19.3; and,
1PFIE~EAS, the City Council filed such proposed budget with the
Secretary of the City on the 23rd day of June, A.D. 19L.~2, and designated
that a public hoaxing on such budget oe held at the City Hall at 8:00 P.?~.
on August 10, A.D. 191}2, and caused public notice of such hearing to be
made; and,
Wf~;REAS, such public hoaxing has bean held., it is therefore ordered
by the Council that the budget, as prepared and submitted by the Mayor,
is hereby finally approved by* the City Counc'~1 and it is hereby ordor®d
fhat a true copy of such approved budget, togethor with a Dopy of this
order, shall be filed in each of the offieea of the Secretary of the City
of La Porte, the Co~mty Clerk of Harris County, Texas and the State

Ordinance Motion by Roark, seoond by Johnson, that Ordinance No. 301, being Aft
No. 301 ORDINANCE M~ING APPROFRIA.TIONS FOR SiTPPORT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE
CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING APRIL lst,1942
AND ENDING MARCH 31, 1943, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, be adopted as
read.

~d 284, providing for payment by electrical contractors of fees for re-
newal of Master Electrician's License, the unused portion of the
X15.00 license fee paid by Pfeiffer Electric Co. and by A.C. Merchant
respectively for 191x2 be rei?unded in eaoh ease. The part to be re-
tained by the City being from January 1, 19)x2 to July 27, 1942.

Salary Motion by Johnson, second by Roark, that the salaries of L.E. Ervtin
Distribu- and R. Erwin be distributed as follows: L.E. Erwin, 2 to ~~'~ater, ~
tion to Sewer and ~ to Street & Alley; R. Erwin, ~ to Street and ~.11ey,
~ to Sewer and 4 to 'dater.

Fish Sewer Motion by Johnson, second by Norris, that the total amount of the
Line Ext. Harry Fish Sewer Line Extension, as figured by the City, be pro-
rated into monthly installments.
