Johnson C. F. Norris, J. J. Roark, City Atty. giibler, Asst. Secretary Christensen. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Court Motion by Roark, second by Johnson, that the Corporation Court Report Report as presented by the TAayor far the Month of September,191a2 be accepted and ordered filed, and b~ayor's fees paid.. Carried. Dogs lotion by Agee, seoorad by Johnson, that the City publish a warn- ing in the paper for the people to keep their dogs up for at least twenty-one days on account of rabbies. Carried. Resolution Motion by Agee, seoond by Norris, that the following resolution be adopted; RESOLIIT I ON BE IT RESOLVEll BY THE CITX COUNCIL OF TITS CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS THAT: ., .: .. _..: • The mayor and City Secretary are hereby authorized and in- structed to issue d"darrants to pay the regular monthly, semi- monthly and weekly salaries of the City employees and officers, as and when they become due and payable. They are further authorized and instructed to issue Vdarrants to parties entitled to refunds on water deposits, when due, and to issue Warrants to apply, and~or to refund, tax deposits, when due. All other l~larrants shall be expressly authorized by the Gity Council at a meeting before issuance.. And it is so ordered. Carried. Correspondence Motion by Norris, second by Agee, that the correspondence from The League of Texas Municipalities in regard to gasoline ration- ing and from the Dueller Co.,~eeatur, I11. in regard to priorities, be placed on file. Carried. tip. E. Worthen Motion by Roark, sea©nd by Johnson, that the bill in the amount Bill of X10,25, due the City by the W. E. Worthen Co., be turned over to the City Attorney for handling. Carried. ~,~ps Motion by Johnson, second by Norris, that the City order siat small maps. Carried. Water ?,Raters Motion by Roark, second by Johnson, that the City order 25 V'dater meters. Carried. Sewer--Bob's I~Cotion by Agee, second by Johnson, that the sewer at Bob's Cafe Cafe be turned over to the Seurat Coaunittee for lotion. Carried, Bridbe Rep. Motion by Agee, second by Jobnson, that the bridge repair on 2dain and North 6th be turned over to the St. & Alley Cor.~un. Carried. Pipe Motion by Johnson, second by Norris, that the City buy the p~,pe to cross North F for the ditches on 6th and J.~th Sts. • Carried. :~~ercha_nt Bond Motion by Roark, seoond by Johnson, that the Gity Secretary write a letter to Frank, Baker, releasing the Eagle Indemnity Company, surety on the electrical,contractor's bond of A. 1~. Merchant, from and after April 22, 191.2. Carried Lotion by Agee, second by Johnson, that the meeting adjourn.
