Johnson, J.H. Kerber,C.F. Norris, J.J. Roark, C.R6. Agee came in a little later. Also present,City Atty.Kiibler,Secy. Lambly. Bonds B1rx Shawell representing Ransom-Davis Co. appeared in the interest of re- funding City of I,a Porte bJ Refunding Bonds. The City Council agreed to consider the matter and advise Mr Shawell of their decision in a few days. °llinutes of the last regular meeting of October 12th and Special meeting of October 15th were read and approved. tiVatchmen ".lotion by Norris, second by Agee, that the City employ six watchmen for Halloween night @ X1.#..00 each and that the mayor and City Secretary be authorized to issue the necessary warrants in payment of their services. Carried. ti~arrants Motion by Roark, second by Johnson, that the Mayor and City Secreta ry be aL~thorized to issue warrants as follows: to lV.E. Tucker for labor X2.00, to Esther Rader for assisting in the City Secretary's office during the vacation of the Asst. Secy., X12.00 for 12 half days. Sewer Motion by Johnson,second by Agee, that the T+Rayor mail an estimate of the Niissle cost of sewer extension to his property to C.J. Niissle. Carried. Roofg Motion by Agee, second by Johnson, that the matter of re-roofing the Fire Chief's quarters be turned over to the Building Committee to get estimates and report to the next Council meeting. Carried. 'Roofing Motion by Agee, second by Johnson, that the repairing of the roof' on City Building No.3, on Lots 20 ~: 21,Block 39,La Porte, be turned over to the Building Committee to bring in estimates to the next Council meeting. Carried. 'eater ':Motion by Norris, second by Agee, that the City Secretary be authorized Bills to purchase 10,000 government post cards and have them printed for water bills, that the Mayor and City Secretary be authorized to issue a tiVarrant for X100.00 to cover the cost of the cards.
