Court The Mayor presented the Corporation Court Report for the month ?eport of July, 1943. " Motion by Roark, second by Smith, that the Corporation. CoLU-t re- port as presented by the I.Tayor be accepted and liayor's fees paid. Carried. Bid The Mayor presented a bid from A. C. Merchant on installing electrical v~riring in connection with new sewage pump at Lift Station ~2, in the amount of ;,150.00. The bid covers a new meter installation, a netiv electro-magnite control, conduit and ~;,rire to maLre permanent con~lection to 20 horse-three phase motor. The bid does not cover the purchase cost of float switch but covers the cost of installation. }~F Motion by Roark, second by Burgin, that the bid on installation of .,, el©ctrical wiring be awarded to A. C. Merchant on his low bid of X150,00. Carried. Card was ordered placed on file. Letter .City Atty. I~iibler presented a letter from the Houston Land ~: Truat Hou. Land & Co. in regard to Donaldson Street, on the Fast side of Block 26, in Trust Co. Bay Front Addition. ~.:otion by Burgin, second by Smith, that the City Attorney write the Houston. Land & Trust Co. th~~ethe Council does not wish to dispose of any interest the City has in Street, and tvishe~ to regain title to all streets ~eadi.ng to the Bay. Carried. Envelopes Notion by Burgin; second by Smith, that the City Secretary be authorized to order 1500 - 3¢ window envelopes, sise 8 and 1,000 ly/ window envel~es, siae 8 for sending out tax notices. Carried. Drainage The IJlayor appointed the St. & Alley committee to investigate the drainage at Mrs. J. b'1. Sharpe's property. Correspondence~iotion by Roark, second by Burgin, that the correspondence dated Texas Liquor July 19 ,1843 from the Texas Liquor Control Board in regard to Re- Control Board stsicted Hours far the sale and consumption of alcoholic ~beveraes be placed on file and that the Police Committee take up this matter with the Police' officer. Carries..
