181 MINUTES L!~ PORTE CITY COUNCIL ',i~.~ SEPTEMBER 13, 19.3, 8 s00 P.bi. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Ruff with the following Aldermen and City Officials pr©sent:.A.ld. J. N. Johnson, J. H. Kerber, T. F. Smith, Assistant Secretary Roberts. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Bills Motion by Johnson, second by Kerber, that the following srhedule of bills in the amount of $517.51 be allowed and ordered paid. lsnnie Christensen, City Secy. 5.08 Clarke & Courts 18.51 Lester Heinsheimer 10.90 F. Smith, Chief of Police be given two small City maps, free o f charge, for Police ,Auxiliary work. Carried. Flexibl$ The City Secretary vas instructed to write a letter to Dunlay- Sewer Clean- ~4rmand Co., Attn. Nir. Quinn, ai~~~r~ga rd to flexible sever cleaner, er and to inquire if he can come to La Porte to t8ik to the Sewer Committe, Friday, September 17th, at ~t.s30 P.M.a~tthe~~City Hall. Paint & Motion by Johnson, second by Smith, that the matter of purchasing '!~!%;~ Signs street paint and having woodon signs made and painted be turned over to the Police Committee. Carried. L ~~82 Truck Paintod Raise Chairs Motion by JoA~son, second by Smith, that the ~y have the Pick Up truck painted. Carried. Motion by Smith, second by Kerber, that the sa~ry of C. Geffken ~~~; be raised from 75¢ per hr. to 85¢ per hour retroactive to Friday, September I0, 1913. o' Carried. r The matter of purchasing new chairs For Council table and public was turfed over to the Building Committee.
