M. D. Burgin, J. N. Johnson, T. r. ymith, P. L. Benson, City Atty. Kiibler, City Secretary Christensen. Minutes •f the last meeting were read and approved. B~11 Mstimn by Johnson, second by Burgin, that~.f~he bill from Lease Star Reefing Ce., in the amount •f $235.00, be allowed and. ordered paid. Carried. Alderman Norris Dame into the meeting at this time. Corp. Court The Mayer presented the Corporation Court Report for the Report months of January, February and March, 19t~l.}. Motion by Johnson, second by Burgin, that the Corporation Court Repert~-as presented by the Mayor be accepted. harried. Shell alderman Norris reported that he had centaebed ~. ~. fines Landing in regard is a shell landing at Harbour's Cut; shell $1,03 per yard F.O.B. Hopper. ~„~ Motion by Johnsen, second by Burgin, that the City order 1,000 .- yards •f shell as outlined at X1,03 per yard, F.O.B~ Hopper. Carried. Drainage The Mayer turned the matter •f West Main Street drainage over t• 3ahe Street & alley Committee. Trust Motion by Burgin, seQend by Smith, that the new Trust Receipt, Receipt signed by the National Bank of Commerce of Houston, Texas, tendered by the First National Bank of j+a, Porte, .Texas to Dover the collateral as depository of City Funds be accepted and placed en file. Carried.; ;~ Letter- The Secretary read a letter from M, S. Mealey, L~30 Ccyle St., P®cl Hall Houston, Texas in regard t® the issuing of a permit to sperate a Poel Hall in La Porte. Motion by Smith, s3ooend by Jehnssn, that this communication be tabled. Carried. 1ffidavit The Mayer presented proper affidavit en the burning •f tht following City of Ia Porte Warrants: City e£ La. Vacation Metion`by Johnson, second by ~nith, that-Claus Geffken be paid ~Y for his vacation time and that he keep en working without time - off, that he be allowed to take liis vacation at a later date without pay. Cried. Vacation Mien by Benson, second by Norris, that Bryant Davis be allowed to talae~his vacation as aeon as some one is employed to take care of the water works. Carried.
