Smith, City Atty. Kiibler, City Seoy. Sharp. Minutes of the last meeting were read and appr®ved. • Valuation The Secretary read a letter from L. C. Lawrence, Allenfarm, Lots 1 & 2, Texas in regard to t'hi~:valuation of his property described s.s Bli.ck 62,B.F. Lets 1 and 2, ~liok 62, Bay Front and Lets 17 and 18, Block 85, & Lets 17 & 18, La Psrte. Block, 85,L.P. Metiers by Burgin, second by Johnsen, that this letter be placed en file and that the City Soeretary be instructed to advise Mr. Laerenee that the valuations cannot be lowered. Carried. G~bige ~ho.lfayer taxied the matter of dumping of garbage on Lee Street over t® the Street and Alley Committee for investigation. Music Mo.chines Metiers Any Smith, second by Johnson, that the Mush Machixte Loud Speakers at Sammie's Place and l~fillsw Inn be discontinued at 10:00 P. M. each night and that the i[usic Ntechines in ether cafes be t®ned down. Carried. Oil Lease Moti®n by J©hns0n, sec©nd by Smith, that the City Secretary be instructed to write B. A. Ferrell, advising that the Council has under censiderati®n. the giving of an oil and gas lease en its streets and alleys in the 6ity of La Porte, Carried.
