Minutes •f the last regular meeting •f No vember 13, 19~, and the special meeting •f November 17, 19l~. were read by the Asst. Secy. and approved as read. Com¢r-uniea- The,Seeretary read letter from H. B. Gieb 8c Associates, Engin- tions, H. R. sera, dated November 10, Y9l;Li., concerning rules and regulations Gieb pertaining to Public forks. Mot#an by Johnson, second by N •rris that communication be placed on Pile. Carried T. League of Mostion by Johnson, second by Norria, that the letter from the lunicipal. Texas League •f Municipalities, dated November 21, 19laL~, concerning the business mooting in Houston, December 1~th & 5th, be placed on file. Carried C. H. Kelly Motion by Smith, second by Norris, that Mayor Ruff contact ~~~ater well C. H. Kelly in connection with the new water well. Carried Firemen's Motion by Burgin, second by Johnson, that the sum of one hundred Prise Money d®llars 0100.00) be set aside for th® Fi remen's Prize Money, and the Secretary be authorised to issue a cheek t• C. J. Wildon, Fire Chief for same. Carried Bus Service Motion by Burgin, See~nd by Johnson, that the City Attorney , John S. Kiibler, dictate a letter atat~mg the need •f of further bus service as stated by Mayor Ruff, as requested. Carried lusic Mach. Mosti®n by Burgin, second by Johnson, that the following ~dment t• a previous ruling by the City Council on October 23, 19l~, be adopted: that the music machines near th a residential districts be permitted to operate a loud-speaker on music machines only between 12:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., also, that the machines in town shall be toned down prior to 9:00 a.m. and after 10x00 p.m. Carried Impts. Motion by Johnson, second by Norris, that assessed improvements F. R. Hoyle on Lots 13 do 1l~, Bllt 38, La Port®, be deducted from the taxes on aarone for the year 191.x.• Carried Fencea Obst. Motion by Smith, second by Norria, that all people owding fences obstructing streets, alleys, and drainage ditches, be instructed to remove same. Carried (over) 266 Eel. Poles Motion by ~xrgin, second by Johnson, that the telephone ©ompany lie notified to remove the telephone g7~lesi'Praun 3rd street. Carried Salary Motion by Johnson, second by Norris,. that Raleigh Erwin bo R. Erwin placed on a monthly-salary .basis •f two hundred and twenty dollars per month, plus =1.25 an hour for all over forty-four hours a week, payable on the first and fifteenth •f each month, begin- ning the first day mf December, 19lal~. wlst ,that he be allowed twenty days sink-leave per year 9n addition to the regular ben days vacation. Motion by Norris, second by Smith, that the salary •f the Assistant Sity Secretary be raised to one hundred dollars per month,. payable on the first and fifteenth~~~P the month, beginning the first day •f December, 191.. Carried Supervisor Motion by Smith, second by Norris, that Raleigh Erwin be appointed •P Maint. supervisor over the ether employees of the street ~ alloy, sewer, employees and water departments, and that he be authorised by the City Council to plan and instruct work t• be carried out by the ' above-stated employees.
