SPECIAL MEETING

JULY lo, 19l~6, 5 : oo r. ;~,
Meeting was called to order by PQayor Ruff with the following
aldermen and City officials present: Ald. J. N. Johnson,
Geo. F. Norris, T~ F. Smith, J. J. Roark, J. L. Durham,
City Atty. Kiibler, City Engineer Kelly with Mr. Kiibler
acting as SecretsrsT in the absence of Secretary Sharp.
The ~.~ayor stated that the purpase of the meeting; was to
discuss the engineering work and to discuss what progress
had been made by the Engineer on prepars.tions of the
City's proposed aaplic~~tions for g;ovcrnment aid. for pre-
liminary,engineerin`r and other professional fees.
A Formal discussion was held in which t~ir. xelly sts.ted that
he had not prepared the other six applications which had
been submitted to him same time a~;o because he thought
no benefits could be obtained by filing; the applications.
The Council instructed Mr. Kelly .not to do any more engineer-
-. ing work and requested him to submit his bill in full for
his fees on the new water well and for the preliminary work
he has done on the incinerator.

"~~~"'`° Mr. Kelly agreed to furnish his bill within a short tine.
Mr. Kelly requested a. certified. cony of the minutes of the
muting held on December 11, 1~)-~~ with reference to his
connection as Engineer for the City.
Mr. Kelly stated that the new grater will and line were com-
pl~ted in accordance with the plans And specifications and
the Council agreed to ps.ss +bhe orders necessary to pay
contractors at the next regular Council meeting.
Motion by Johnson, second by Smith, that the meeting adjourn:
Carried.
